Identify the Order Baseline and Requested Difference
A request made after order confirmation can affect more than the component named in the message. A new container, an added operating function or a revised interface may alter the agreed evidence and deliverables too. Begin with the accepted offer, configuration and document references before assessing the proposed difference.
State the reason for the request and which result is sought. Keep a preference, a proposed technical solution and a confirmed supplier response separate. The decision is whether the change's effects are understood well enough for the relevant project owners to approve a revised scope.
Trace the Affected Equipment and Interfaces
Ask the supplier which assemblies, format parts, controls or utility interfaces are affected. Follow the consequence beyond the named machine where it reaches an adjacent conveyor or another supplied unit. Use the actual drawings and component references rather than assuming a visible part is the whole change.
The bottle-filler page describes equipment matched to product, container, utilities and layout. Those linked inputs explain why a format or duty change requires review. Record items confirmed unchanged as well as items requiring revision, and identify assumptions still awaiting the supplier's engineering response.
Review the Trial and Documentation Consequences
Determine whether the agreed sample set, test conditions or acceptance question must change. Evidence collected for the original arrangement may not answer the revised requirement. Ask which observations remain applicable and which additional review is needed; do not declare the earlier trial invalid or sufficient without that assessment.
List affected manuals, layout drawings, configuration references and purchased document deliverables. The documentation page states that revisions should reflect the supplied machine. Keep the new scope and its document index connected, so a changed machine is not handed over with an unexplained mixture of previous and current references.
Separate Confirmed Effects from Commercial Estimates
Keep the supplier's technical confirmation separate from an estimate or a question still under investigation. Record any price, delivery or visit effect only from the actual revised offer, with its reference and conditions. Do not apply a generic percentage or assume a small physical change has no scheduling effect.
Identify the buyer owners who must review these matters. Technical acceptance and commercial approval can involve different people; one response need not settle both. Resolve the project-specific decision through the agreed process without assuming a contractual entitlement from this general worksheet.
Use a Change Impact Approval Sheet
Use a row for each affected item within the requested change. Keep the original reference alongside the revised response, so the relationship remains visible after approval.
| Change request | Original reference | Affected item | Trial or document impact | Supplier confirmation | Commercial decision owner | Approved revision |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
The cells are blank review fields, not an approved variation. Mark an unanswered effect as open and name its owner. Retain the earlier baseline instead of overwriting the reference needed to explain the change.
Issue One Recognizable Revised Baseline
After the responsible parties approve the change, reconcile the revised equipment list, evidence plan and document references. Confirm which revision now defines manufacture or the next project activity. Remove ambiguity where separate messages describe different versions of the same request.
Keep outstanding actions attached to the accepted change record and verify their disposition at the agreed project stage. The quotation guide helps compare scope before purchase; this worksheet follows a proposed change after an order exists. It does not provide installation instructions or substitute a general checklist for the actual supplier confirmation.
Buyer Questions
Does a small requested change necessarily leave the trial scope unchanged?
No conclusion should be assumed from size alone. Ask which configuration and evidence questions are affected, then retain the supplier's actual assessment.
Where should additional cost or timing effects come from?
Use the specific revised offer and its stated conditions. This guide supplies no generic change price or delivery allowance.
Should the original order references be deleted after revision?
Preserve the earlier baseline and the change decision. Make the current approved revision recognizable while retaining the history needed to explain it.
