Remote guidance, visit, spare, change part, upgrade or quotation requirement.

Service workflow

How a Pharmaceutical Machine Support Request Is Reviewed

A clear technical record helps separate operating, format, utility, control and mechanical causes before parts or a site visit are proposed.

1. Identify the Machine

Provide the machine name, model, serial number, year of supply and current installation location. For equipment from another manufacturer, share the nameplate, available manual, drawings and clear overall photographs.

2. Record the Condition

Describe the normal operating sequence, the point where performance changes, HMI alarm text, recent maintenance, changed settings and whether the issue affects every pack or only a particular format.

3. Review Evidence

Photos, short videos, PLC or HMI messages, damaged-part dimensions and samples help the engineering team determine whether remote guidance, adjustment, a spare, a change part or an inspection is the suitable next step.

4. Define the Support Scope

The recommended action, responsibilities, parts, travel, utilities, shutdown time and commercial terms are confirmed before work begins. Availability depends on the machine, location and accessible records.

Preventive maintenance

Routine Checks That Support Reliable Production

Mechanical and Format Parts

  • Inspect guides, star wheels, feed worms, grippers, belts, chains and bearings for wear or damage.
  • Verify that change parts match the approved bottle, vial, cap or label format.
  • Check guards, doors, fasteners and safety interlocks before production.

Utilities and Product Path

  • Confirm electrical supply, grounding, compressed air, water and vacuum conditions against the machine requirement.
  • Clean product-contact parts using the approved procedure and compatible cleaning materials.
  • Review filters, hoses, seals, nozzles and connections for leakage, blockage or deterioration.

Controls and Records

  • Back up approved recipes and record parameter changes.
  • Test sensors, alarms, emergency stops and no-container/no-operation functions.
  • Maintain a log of faults, replaced parts, lubrication and preventive-maintenance activity.

Always follow the supplied machine manual, site safety procedure and approved maintenance plan. Do not bypass guards, alarms or interlocks. Machine-specific instructions take priority over this general guidance.
