A dissolved marker in recovered condensate can reveal liquid carryover without establishing molecular volatility.
Define the Phase or Process Boundary
Spirax Sarco's separator description distinguishes suspended liquid droplets carried with gas from the gas stream itself. In an evaporation review, liquid droplets and molecular vapor are different routes into recovered liquid; a separator targets the droplet route.
Review a Hypothetical Comparison
Assume a fictional process declares one marker nonvolatile under its specified conditions. A recovered-condensate sample contains 0.04 kg marker in 100 kg liquid, or 400 mg/kg. In a model with genuinely marker-free vapor and no other contamination, this observation cannot arise from condensing that vapor alone. Entrained feed droplets are one plausible route. The result does not prove that route, because sampling contamination, a mistaken nonvolatility assumption or another process connection could also contribute.
Keep the Evidence with the Decision
Retain the marker identity, basis of the nonvolatility assumption, sampling locations and dissolved-marker balance. Examine potential droplet and alternate liquid paths before interpreting condensate as an equilibrium vapor-composition sample. Request evidence appropriate to each route rather than assigning a new volatility coefficient from an unexplained carryover result.
The concentrations are invented. No separator removal efficiency, allowable contamination level or real solvent property is supplied here.

Customer Questions
Does a separator remove molecular vapor?
Its described purpose is separating suspended liquid droplets.
Does 400 mg/kg prove entrainment?
No. Review alternate contamination paths and the initial assumptions.
Can this result define equilibrium volatility?
Only after the sample and physical transport route are established.
