Two flow labels on an ejector can describe different sides of its function.
Name each flow boundary
Schmalz's identified ejector documentation presents suction capacity and air consumption separately. Keep those labels and their conditions distinct. Primary reference: Schmalz ejector flow boundaries.
Draw the compressed-air supply, suction connection and exhaust as different paths. The useful suction-side requirement and the plant-air demand belong to different rows. Even matching flow units do not establish that the numbers refer to the same pressure basis or operating point.
A hypothetical purchasing table
Imagine offer A gives suction flow at an identified vacuum condition and input-air demand at an identified supply condition. Offer B supplies only a larger maximum suction number. A cannot be declared more air-consuming, or B more economical, from those incomplete rows. Ask for both streams and applicable conditions.
Prepare columns for suction-side condition, suction capacity, supply condition, air consumption and original unit conventions. Keep peak and cycle-average demand separately named if both are relevant. This comparison contains no HM air schedule and no reproduced manufacturer values.
Relate both streams to the task
The gripping task may need evacuation within an interval and accommodation of its actual incoming air. The plant must separately supply the selected generator's demand under its accepted operating schedule. One headline flow should not represent both decisions.
Retain the ejector variant and curve references with the utility record. A nozzle or operating-mode change can affect the comparison. This guide helps a buyer request a complete two-stream offer without estimating energy savings from maximum suction alone, declaring a universal flow ratio or using unlike gas-volume conventions to rank products.
Customer Questions
Is suction flow the same as compressed-air consumption?
No. They refer to different streams.
Do identicalL/min labels prove an identical basis?
No. Preserve the stated gas and pressure conventions.
Can maximum suction alone rank plant-air demand?
No. Request the input-stream evidence separately.
