A pressure signal can be affected by the process connection before it reaches the sensing assembly. Review cavities and deposit paths for the actual medium.
Examine the process-facing geometry
WIKA identifies viscous, crystallising and suspended-solid media among applications where diaphragm-seal arrangements can reduce problematic internal cavities. That application rationale does not prove that every flush connection remains deposit-free or that it suits every cleaning and process condition.
Compare an invented connection pair
Suppose two offers have identical output signals but one exposes a narrow passage and the other a different process-facing diaphragm geometry. Request section drawings and mark every process-wetted cavity. Compare them with the buyer’s actual medium behavior and approved cleaning method.
Ask how deposits would affect the intended pressure path and how the assembly can be inspected under the approved maintenance arrangement. Do not equate an attractive smooth face with evidence of sanitary compliance or complete cleanability. Those claims need their own applicable documentation.
Keep the offered assembly identifiable
Retain connection standard, diaphragm geometry, wetted materials and any seal assembly description with the quotation. Have the supplier assess the medium and operating envelope. A connection change can alter the installed measurement arrangement, so preserve the full part revision rather than merely the electrical output specification.

Customer Questions
Does “flush” guarantee no deposits?
No.
Do matching outputs prove equal process connections?
No. Compare the physical geometry.
Does this guide claim sanitary certification?
No. Such claims require separate applicable evidence.
