A sampled incoming-component lot and a continuing production process require different evidence. Identify the disposition decision before requesting a pass statement.
The statistical question
Acceptance sampling uses observations from a selected sample to decide the disposition of an identified lot. A lot accepted by its agreed plan has passed that decision rule; this alone does not establish the actual defect proportion or demonstrate that the producing process stays stable over time. The inspected characteristic, selection method and lot boundary belong to the decision.
An illustrative review example
Imagine a buyer receiving 4,000 closure inserts and inspecting an agreed random sample. The disposition record concerns those inserts under the stated criterion. A later shipment with another lot number does not inherit the first decision. Likewise, a trend of machine torque readings answers a different question from whether the received insert lot is accepted. These fictional records could refer to the same project while supporting different conclusions.
Prepare the evidence for discussion
Keep separate fields for lot ID, lot quantity, sampling-plan reference, observations and disposition. Add a distinct reference for any process-monitoring evidence supplied by the component maker. When asking H M Pharma Machines to review troublesome closures, send the observed pack behavior and component-lot history together. Avoid describing a sample acceptance as a guarantee that every closure fits or that the machine will run consistently.

Customer Questions
Does an accepted lot prove its defect percentage?
No. The disposition follows the specified sampling decision; estimating the proportion requires an appropriate separate analysis.
Does one accepted shipment establish process stability?
A single lot decision does not establish stability across time or across subsequent production conditions.
What identifies the decision boundary?
Record the lot, inspected characteristic, selection method, plan reference and resulting disposition.
