Compare recycled vapor heat and compressor input as different terms in a mechanical-vapor-recompression review.
Define the Phase or Process Boundary
GEA's MEVAP process description explains that compression raises vapor pressure and temperature so it can return as heating vapor. The compressor supplies work; the recycled stream already carries energy from the evaporation process.
Review a Hypothetical Comparison
Imagine a fictional duty diagram with 180 kW of returned condensing-vapor heat and 12 kW of compressor input. Their ratio is 15, but calling this 1500% conversion of electricity into new heat would misrepresent the energy boundary. Much of the returned heat belongs to the recycled vapor inventory. Keep any feed heating, startup steam, excess vapor, condensate and heat losses as separate arrows rather than erasing them from the comparison.
Keep the Evidence with the Decision
Ask what duty the electrical number covers and whether motor, auxiliary pumps and other utilities are included. Pair the vapor states before and after compression with the heating-side requirement. Compare complete, matched operating periods if evaluating utility demand; a heat/work ratio is a useful boundary check but does not replace the process balance.
All powers are assigned. The example predicts no compressor efficiency, temperature lift, savings or achievable evaporation rate, and asserts no HM recompression equipment capability.
Which energy streams support the stated heat-reuse comparison?
This blank worksheet is for your own project. It contains no H M machine trial result.

Customer Questions
Is returned latent heat all created by compressor work?
No. The returned vapor carries energy already in the recycle loop.
Is the ratio 15 a universal performance value?
No. It is arithmetic for the assigned fictional powers.
Does this remove startup heat from the balance?
No. Keep startup and other external heat inputs separately visible.
