A valve's maximum pressure label does not establish operation at a very small pressure difference.
Read the required pressure condition
Bürkert's Type 6281 description explicitly requires minimum differential pressure for its servo-assisted function. That requirement is tied to the identified construction. Primary reference: Bürkert servo-assisted valve condition.
Other valve designs can have different requirements. Identify whether the offered limit concerns inlet pressure, pressure difference or an externally supplied pilot condition. Preserve the manufacturer's definition rather than assuming the phrase pilot operated has one identical limit for every component.
A hypothetical operating-mode gap
Imagine fictional documentation requires at least 0.2 bar differential under a stated operating condition. A proposed mode has 0.1 bar upstream-to-downstream difference at the relevant point. The quoted maximum pressure cannot close that minimum-condition gap. The example does not claim 0.2 bar for the cited product; it uses invented labels to show the comparison.
Build rows for startup, normal operation and any relevant equalized-pressure mode. For each, retain actual pressures, reference definitions, required condition and the supplier's applicability response. A passing steady-state row does not automatically approve a different transition.
Preserve the selected architecture
Ask whether the proposed valve variant can perform its intended function throughout the stated duty. If an alternative architecture is proposed, compare its actual evidence rather than treating a new actuation label as automatic compatibility.
Keep part identity, pilot arrangement and applicable pressure conditions with the circuit record. This guide exposes a specific selection question without giving a live test method, changing a supply setting or declaring that every pilot-assisted valve fails at the same differential. The complete selected construction determines the applicable requirement.
Customer Questions
Does maximum pressure answer minimum operating pressure?
No. Keep the two conditions distinct.
Is 0.2 bar the cited product's stated limit here?
No. It is an invented comparison input.
Do all pilot-assisted constructions have identical requirements?
No. Read the actual variant's definition.
