Name the Workstation and Operating Scenario
A noise figure becomes useful to a project only when the buyer knows what it describes. Identify the selected machine, auxiliaries, container or closure and the proposed operator position. Separate the machine being quoted from another installation shown in a demonstration video.
List the scenarios for which information is needed: steady operation, material replenishment or another documented mode relevant to the planned workstation. If several machines operate nearby, identify them as part of the site review. Do not assume that a supplier figure describes the complete room or every position around the line.
Request the Reference Behind the Number
Ask the supplier to provide the applicable declaration or measurement report, its revision and the equipment configuration to which it applies. Request the stated acoustic quantity, units, measurement convention and method reference. Preserve that description rather than copying an isolated number into the project specification.
If the offer provides no applicable noise information, record that as an open question. A video recording, subjective description such as quiet, or a phone reading without an agreed method should not silently become equivalent evidence. The project team should decide what additional information is needed for its qualified review.
Keep Mode and Test Conditions with the Evidence
Request the operating condition associated with the data: the included equipment, trial materials, machine mode and relevant measurement positions. Ask whether an auxiliary supply, extraction unit or neighbouring equipment was included. Keep missing conditions visible instead of assuming they match the proposed installation.
Where several operating modes are reported, retain their individual descriptions. A figure without its reporting basis cannot explain which part of the buyer duty was represented. Do not calculate a universal adjustment or compare unlike quantities as though they describe the same observation.
Separate Supplier Information from Site Assessment
Provide the site reviewer with the proposed layout, occupied positions and operating pattern alongside the supplier reference. The site has its own neighbouring sources and room conditions; those need review by the responsible qualified team. This article supplies no exposure limit, hearing-protection selection or claim that a workstation is acceptable.
If the review produces a control or layout requirement, document its owner and ask how it affects the ordered arrangement and the evidence still required. Keep any later site measurement tied to the actual installed configuration rather than replacing the original supplier record without explanation.
Use a Noise-Evidence Request Sheet
Complete the identification and request fields before comparing offers. Keep source data, proposed workstation context and the qualified site decision as separate references. The worksheet is deliberately blank and contains no predicted level.
This blank worksheet records the proposed review. Complete it using identified project documents; the empty cells contain no observed result or approval.

Buyer Questions
Does a demonstration video establish machine noise performance?
It does not provide the full measurement basis. Request applicable supplier data and its operating conditions.
Can one machine figure describe the complete installed workstation?
Do not assume that. The responsible site team should review the actual layout, neighbouring sources and operating pattern.
Does this worksheet decide an acceptable noise limit?
No. It organizes supplier and site evidence for qualified review; it supplies no exposure threshold or compliance conclusion.
